About Herons Rise Vineyard

Book Direct with the Owner at Herons Rise Vineyard with Tourism Listing in Kettering, for all your restaurant and Food Reservations.

Herons Rise is a family-owned vineyard and holiday cottages at Kettering, in Southern Tasmania. The Vineyard is located on hills overlooking the D?Entrecasteaux Channel, a 30-minute drive south of Hobart (34 km). Established in 1984, Heron?s Rise Vineyard produces fine, cool climate Tasmanian wines including Pinot Noir, Rhine Riesling and Muller Thurgau - a German variety developed for colder climates. This variety produces an aromatic wine that develops tropical fruit characters with a little bottle age. The 2005 Heron?s Rise Muller Thurgau was awarded a bronze medal in the Tasmanian Wine Show. You can taste the range of Herons Rise wines at the vineyard by prior arrangement and take home a bottle of the current vintage. Heron?s Rise also offers three self-contained cottages at the vineyard ? the Studio Cottage, Clock Tower Cottage and Loft Cottage....
